We chose Daryl Walker as our General Contractor in 1997 when we remodeled our 50 year old house in Alameda. He did the carpentry and plumbing himself and subcontracted the electrical.
We were very pleased with the result. We were even more pleased with his process. We chose not to use an architect so all the design work was done through consultation between Daryl and ourselves.
Daryl was a thoughtful, helpful and patient collaborator. We got just what we wanted while his many useful suggestions saved us from many mistakes.
